Torrequebrada Golf Course, Costa del Sol
Situated just west of Benalmadena Costa, the par 72, 5806 Metre course was designed by Spain's most famous golf architect, Pepe Gancedo, who used the contours of the region to produce a course where each hole is an individual.
Torrequebrada opened in 1979, and has hosted several top tournaments including the 1979 Spanish Open.
Well manicured, the fairways are well established and in particularly good condition. Water hazards come into play on nine holes, and there are over 100 species of trees lining the fairways.
Water really is a feature here and along the walkways and bridges you will also find many species of birds and even ducks.
There are numerous fairway bunkers strategically place and players will find the well guarded greens very challenging.
Located 3km inland, Torrequebrada has stunning sea views and is very popular with visitors.
There is a perfectly situated terrace bar and restaurant overlooking the 18th hole and the Mediterranean Sea.
