Royal Las Brisas Golf Course, Costa del Sol
Four times host to the Spanish Open (1970, 1983, 1987 and 1991), as well as many other national and international competition such as 2 Nation's Cups (1985 and 1987), Las Brisas is a picturesque course of international standard.
It also has one of Spain's all-time top golfers at its helm: professional Sebastian de Miquel has represented Spain in the World Cup 12 times.
Designed by golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Las Brisas has all of his trademark elements: elevated greens, strategically placed bunkers and lots of water. There are, in fact, ten artificial lakes on the course.
The Bermuda grass has been imported to make sure that the fairways are always in the finest condition, and the greens are excellent and, interestingly, there are trees and shrubs from every continent.
