Lauro Golf Course, Costa del Sol
Los Caracolillos course at Lauro golf is the last design of the world renowed Italian golf architect, Folco Nardi, who sadly did not live to see the course finished.
The parkland course, set in a rural area only 12 km from Malaga airport, is planted with orange, lemon, olive and fig trees. With views of mountains to the north and the mediterranean sea to the south, the course adjoins the protected forest area of the Sierra de Mijas. The course has eight lakes just waiting to catch you!
Since opening in 1992, Los caracolillos has hosted both the Andalucian Junior Finals and the Senior’s Finals.
The clubhouse is interesting as it is a 200 year old Spanish Cortijo that has been restored to house a restaurant, bar, pro shop, and offices, all surrounding a lovely Spanish patio – the perfect spot for after the game!
